Stephen Sondheim and Bernadette Peters, one of the stars of Sunday in the Park With George, congratulate playwright James Lapine. Their show had just won the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. It would later earn Sondheim and Lapine the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
