Dale Chihuly at work in his studio, formerly a Benjamin Moore paint factory, in 1990. After a shoulder injury made it almost impossible for Chihuly to manipulate the glassblowing pipe, he made drawings to communicate his designs to his assistants and collaborators. His drawings have become prized works of art in their own right.
