ARE ACADEMY OF ACHIEVEMENT PODCASTS AND INTERVIEWS COPYRIGHTED?

Yes. Academy of Achievement Podcasts and Interviews are distributed under a Creative Commons (CC) license. This doesn't replace copyright -- which remains undivided with the Academy of Achievement -- but it makes the terms more flexible. Anyone is free to download videos from achievement.org and share them with friends, but this use must be made within the terms of the CC license: "Attribution -- Noncommercial -- No derivative works."

This Creative Commons license allows you to reproduce, distribute, display or project publicly the Academy of Achievement Podcasts and Interviews as long as you follow these guidelines:

ATTRIBUTION: You explicitly reference the Academy of Achievement as the original source of the materials, and the Academy of Achievement's logos and visuals remain untouched and unedited.

NONCOMMERCIAL: You can't use Academy of Achievement Podcasts and Interviews (or any parts of them) for commercial purposes.

NO DERIVATIVE WORKS: You cannot alter the videos in any way (edit, remix, cut, etc).

These conditions can be modified only by explicit permission of the copyright holder
(The Academy of Achievement).

CAN I RE-EDIT AND REMIX ACADEMY OF ACHIEVEMENT PODCASTS AND INTERVIEWS?

No. The Creative Commons license (See: "Are Academy of Achievement Podcasts and Interviews copyrighted?") clearly states that "derivative works" of any kind (edits, cuts, re-mixes, mashups, etc) are not allowed. If you discover edited or modified versions of Academy of Achievement Podcasts and Interviews distributed online or used elsewhere, be aware that this is illegal and please inform us.
