This lesson brings the important concept of Social Advocacy to the classroom by
leveraging the experiences of some of the most influential social advocates of our
time. Using the traditional backward-design teaching method, this interactive eLearning
module delivers the five steps to effective social advocacy, the candid conversations
and impressions of six inspirational social advocates through the Academy's unique
collection of video interviews and podcasts, and appropriate knowledge aquisition
assessment in an easy-to-follow tutorial environment.
This module is appropriate for students in grades 7 through 11 in English, Civics,
History, or other relevant Social Sciences settings.
