Description: This Achievement Television program on genetics and heredity originated from the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland—one of the most important medical institutions in the world. Also featured is a visit to Dr. Steven A. Rosenberg's laboratory where students meet his patients undergoing experimental gene therapy treatment and how he's unlocking the mysteries of cancer. Students will join America's "Scientist of the Year," Dr. Steven Rosenberg, from the National Cancer Institute in Washington, D.C. to discuss "The Genetic Revolution." Dr. Rosenberg is joined by Dr. Nancy Wexler, an award-winning leader in genetics research, from Los Angeles, California. Dr. Rosenberg will lead students on a tour of the National Institute of Health and his laboratory, as well as introduce them to patients being treated at the National Cancer Institute.
