Before viewing the video segment, consider these questions:

  • Have you ever thought about becoming a writer? Why? Why not?
  • Who is a writer you admire? What can you learn from this author's work about being a good writer?
  • What do you think would be the best thing about being a writer? What would be the hardest thing about being a writer?
